Fiestas Mayores Patronales 2026

Old Town (Casco Antiguo) and Poniente Beach, Benidorm

When the tourist season ends, Benidorm begins to celebrate for itself! Fiestas Mayores Patronales is the most important event of the year, during which the city reveals its authentic Spanish soul.

It’s five days of non-stop fun in honor of the city’s patrons. The streets are closed to traffic, and local associations take over. Here is what you can experience during this extraordinary fiesta:

🌟 What makes this holiday special?

  • 👥
The “Peñas” Culture: Thousands of residents in colorful shirts form street clubs. This is the heart of the festival, where communal feasting and dancing last until dawn.
  • 💐
Tradition and Emotion: Experience the moving flower offering (Ofrenda) and the spectacular reenactment of finding the patron saint’s statue on the beach, which forms the foundation of Benidorm’s identity.
  • 🎭
Parades and Humor: The city fills with the music of brass bands, culminating in the “Desfile del Humor” – a colorful parade full of satire, creative costumes, and local jokes.
  • 🎆
Powerful Fireworks: The event’s finale is one of the loudest and most spectacular pyrotechnic displays in all of Spain, held over Poniente Bay.

📍 Where to find the events?

The main celebrations center around the Old Town (Casco Antiguo), at Plaza de SS.MM. Los Reyes de España and the main artery – Ruzafa Street. The grand pyrotechnic finale lights up the sky over Poniente Beach.
