It is a fascinating blend of pagan rituals, the power of the elements, and endless fun on the sand. Here are the key elements of this fiery spectacle:

Satirical sculptures: Giant, colorful monuments made of cardboard and wood appear on the city streets. They depict politicians and current events in a satirical way, impressing with their craftsmanship. -

Magical night on the beach: On the night of June 23rd to 24th, the shores of Benidorm are illuminated by hundreds of bonfires. It’s a time for communal singing, feasting, and celebrating the shortest night of the year under the open sky. -

Purification ritual: According to tradition, at midnight you should jump over the fire to burn away bad energies, and then jump over 7 sea waves to ensure health and prosperity. -

The Grand Finale – La Cremà: On June 24th at midnight, all sculptures are set on fire. This is a symbolic farewell to the old and a welcome to the new, accompanied by spectacular pyrotechnic displays.
